Recently, our company dealt with a claim that should
have been paid by insurance.
Upon investigation, we learned that the patient didn’t know that this hadn’t been paid and
no longer had the claim number or any information.
1. We contacted their employer to obtain the claim number as well as name and
contact information for the Workman’s Compensation Insurance provider.
2. We were then able to contact the adjuster and provide the claim information with
all paperwork needed to get the claim processed.
3. We then followed up on payment so that there was no damage to
the patients personal credit file.
